You may have heard or seen on the internet that Fantasy Football is pretty much just Dungeons & Dragons for jocks. This is half true. Fantasy Football and D&D have quite a few things in common but are also vastly different. There is infinitely less creativity involved in Fantasy Football than in role-playing games for one. Fantasy Football seems to be far more popular and socially “acceptable.” People that play one or the other are rarely in the same social circles… one would think.

Those were the words that Spike Lee used to disparage Quentin Tarantino’s new epic film Django Unchained. The plot centers around a slave who is freed and becomes a bounty hunter. He then embarks on a mission to rescue his wife from a sadistic plantation owner. That’s about all that Spike Lee knows about the movie since he has not seen it and will not see it.

Anyone who knows me is made painfully aware of my Kevin Smith obsession within the first few minutes of meeting me. I have a knack for inserting pieces of his screenplays into everyday conversation. So when I found out that Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes were coming to my small town of Durango, Colorado to record a live podcast… needless to say, there were white and brown stains I had to wash out of my trousers.
